Benjamin Smith is one of the originals in the “Brat Pack” of 14- and 15-year-olds who ruled the roost in the early days of the MotoAmerica KTM RC Cup, and he was crowned as the class champion in 2017. From there, Smith didn’t mess around and went straight to the big-boy class of Supersport where he methodically worked his way up the leaderboard, reaching the upper echelon of the class this season. Currently ranked fifth in the standings with two rounds (four races) remaining in the 2021 series, Smith has been on the podium twice and is hungry for more. We caught up with the Pennsylvanian, now living in South Carolina, for this week’s episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice and got some insights into what life is like for Benjamin Smith.
