Although no decision has been made officially, it definitely sounded like Italian Loreno Zanetti will be at the 2020 MotoAmerica Series finale at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, October 23-25. At least if Saturday’s first-time AMA Superbike race winner has his way.

Zanetti, who rode the Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati New York Panigale V4 R Superbike to a .196 of a second victory over M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Bobby Fong on Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, has been taking part in the Italian Superbike Championship. But he will forego that if he has to.

“Now the plan is go back to Italy for the last Italian Championship round next weekend (October 16-17) and then join back to Laguna, but I think this is a problem now for the COVID situation don’t arrive on time the visa,” Zanetti said on Sunday afternoon after finishing third for his third podium finish of the weekend. “So maybe I need to stay in America one week and then I don’t know, maybe all winter. I hope I can go back home.”
