Building on the momentum of its 2024 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship, Strack Racing is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated rider lineup for the 2025 MotoAmerica season. With continued support from Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., Strack Racing enters the new season with reigning class champion Mathew Scholtz joined by rising star Blake Davis. Both riders will be aboard the brand-new and highly anticipated Yamaha YZF-R9.

Also, in a bold move for Strack Racing, the team is expanding into the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship for 2025. Super Hooligan veteran Hawk Mazzotta will race a Yamaha MT-09 SP with additional support provided to Mazzotta by Trackhouse Racing.

Scholtz, a proven champion and race winner aboard Yamaha motorcycles in Supersport, Superbike, and Superstock 1000, returns to Strack Racing with his eyes firmly set on defending his Supersport title. Scholtz’s expertise and unparalleled consistency bring confidence to the team as they tackle another challenging season.

New to Strack Racing’s Supersport roster, Davis is a young and dynamic talent who has already captured the attention of the MotoAmerica paddock. The two-time Twins Cup Champion’s competitive drive and potential align perfectly with Strack Racing’s championship-winning ethos.

In the Super Hooligan class, Mazzotta reunites with Strack Racing to showcase his skills aboard the Yamaha MT-09 SP. As a close friend of team owner Peter Strack and a seasoned competitor, Mazzotta’s return to the team signals an exciting expansion for Strack Racing into this burgeoning class.

The 2025 season also marks the debut of the exciting, new Yamaha YZF-R9 in the MotoAmerica paddock. With Yamaha stepping up its support for Strack Racing even more in 2025, the team will play a pivotal role in developing the new platform for competitive success.

“It’s an honor to return to Strack Racing and MotoAmerica to defend our championship,” Scholtz said. “I’m excited to race alongside Blake and to see Hawk represent the team in Super Hooligan. With Yamaha’s continued support and the debut of the R9, I believe we’re ready to make an impact once again.”

Davis commented, “I’m very excited to join Strack Racing. Being on the new R9 is going to be such a great experience. I’m looking forward to the season and can’t wait to go racing!”

“Racing is challenging, especially this year as we assist in developing the R9,” said Strack. “But we proved last year that our team is resilient. Mathew’s championship performance, Blake’s fresh talent, and Hawk’s passion for the sport exemplify the spirit of Strack Racing. With Yamaha’s trust in our team, we’re ready to rise to the occasion and deliver another unforgettable season.”

Tom Halverson, Yamaha Racing Assistant Department Manager for YMUS, added: “Strack Racing has proven to be a valuable partner for Yamaha. Their commitment to excellence, teamwork, and innovation align perfectly with our goals. We’re excited to see how they elevate the R9 in its debut season while continuing their strong performances in Supersport and now Super Hooligan.”

Strack Racing invites fans, sponsors, and the MotoAmerica community to join them for an exciting 2025 season filled with determination, innovation, and championship-caliber racing.
