As you no doubt have heard, AMA professional motorcycle road racing is returning to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course after a 10-year absence. It’s MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio on August 16 through 18 featuring some of the world’s most-talented riders aboard some of the world’s fastest motorcycles.

The MotoAmerica Mid-Ohio weekend will be packed with action and excitement in six race classes, including Steel Commander Superbike; Mission King Of The Baggers, the uniquely American Harley-Davidson versus Indian Motorcycle Big Twin rivalry that has quickly become a global phenomenon; plus Supersport; Junior Cup; the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship with 11 manufacturers going for the win; and the Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. program.

Volunteers have the best seats in the house, and they sometimes get this close to the bikes and riders. Photo by Brian J. Nelson.

Want to put yourself right in the middle of the action and, instead of having to pay for it, be rewarded for being part of the show? MotoAmerica needs volunteer Marshals for the event, and YOU might be able to help.

Listen to what multi-time MotoAmerica volunteer James Connelly IV has to say about working as a Marshal:

“Volunteering as a Marshal with MotoAmerica has been an incredibly rewarding experience,” Connelly said. “The adrenaline rush of being trackside is unmatched, and knowing I’m contributing to rider safety is incredibly fulfilling. It’s truly the ‘best seat in the house’ with the sights, sounds, and smells immersing you in the heart of the action. I’ve had the opportunity to experience amazing tracks like Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Barber Motorsports Park, and, soon, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in a way few others can. If you’re seeking a thrilling and meaningful opportunity, track marshaling is definitely for you. Join me at Mid-Ohio on August 16 through 18.”

Here’s what we offer all volunteers:

  • FREE ticket to the event each day (includes free camping)
  • An extra FREE ticket for another person as your guest
  • Invitation to MotoAmerica Hospitality each day for FREE lunch and snacks
  • FREE Saturday night dinner with FREE giveaways
  • Free MotoAmerica T-shirt plus $30 redeemable token for Official MotoAmerica Merchandise
Whether you’re in a corner, waving a flag, or down on the starting grid, you’ll be as close as you can get to all the action. Photo by Brian J. Nelson.

Here’s what we need:

  • Course Marshals, Flag Marshals, and Track Marshals – this is an all-volunteer event (we’ll train you)
  • Grid Marshals – an exciting and easy introduction to helping in Motorsport (we’ll train you on this, too)
