Video: MotoAmerica Thermal Club Media Event

Prior to its inaugural April 10-12 race weekend at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, MotoAmerica hosted a media day at The Thermal Club, a private, automotive-oriented racetrack located in California’s Coachella Valley near Palm Springs.

Comprising three independent courses with the flexibility to run as many as 19 unique configurations, the 4.5-mile, Alan Wilson-designed facility includes a 2500-foot straightaway.

In addition to the Yoshimura Suzuki team and representatives from Umbrella Girls USA, MotoAmerica Superbike racer Chris Ulrich and his GEICO Suzuki team were on hand to give media two-up rides on a specially outfitted GSX-R1000.
