Video: Aprilia HSBK Racing Team Documents COTA Debut

Aprilia is one of seven manufacturers represented in the new MotoAmerica series. In this video, you’ll meet the Aprilia HSBK Racing Team, which is competing in the Superstock 1000 class of the AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship.

Superstock 1000 runs alongside the series’ premier class, Superbike, but it is scored separately. Riders Dustin Dominguez and Devon McDonough made their debut with the team at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, finishing second and fifth, respectively, in both races.

“Last year,” Dominguez said, “I was on a 600, so it’s definitely a step up for me. Luckily, the RSV4 is so small; it handles a lot like a 600. It’s really helping my transition quite nicely.”

One week after COTA at Road Atlanta, Dominguez placed eighth and fifth in wet conditions; McDonough was fifth and eighth. Heading into the third round of the series this weekend at VIRginia International Raceway, Dominguez and McDonough are third and sixth overall in championship points.
