Two Minutes With MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey

In this short interview, Speed City’s Jonathan Green asks MotoAmerica President and three-time 500cc World Champion Wayne Rainey about the progress he and his partners have made thus far with the new AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship as the series heads into its inaugural race weekend April 10-12 at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.

“It’s been a tough six months preparing for this,” Rainey said. “Being a rider, you show up, just put your helmet on, and all this stuff is done. So being on the other side has been a wake up.” Listen to the entire interview here.

Green is part of the MotoAmerica television broadcast team, which also includes two-time World Superbike Champion Colin Edwards and motorsports personality Cristy Lee, that will provide weekly coverage of the series on the CBS Sports Network.
