It’s obvious that Travis Wyman just can’t get enough of MotoAmerica.
As has been the New Yorker’s modus operandi over the past few seasons, Wyman will do double duty again in 2023 as he races a BMW M 1000 RR in MotoAmerica’s Stock 1000 class for his own self-titled Travis Wyman Racing BMW team while also competing in the Mission King Of The Baggers Championship aboard a Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special as a factory rider for the H-D Screamin’ Eagle team.
For Wyman, who is a two-time runner-up in the Stock 1000 class, this will be his sixth-consecutive season aboard a MotoAmerica literbike. Wyman and his team, which is based in Austin, Texas, will participate in all five Stock 1000 rounds, including Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Barber Motorsports Park, Road America, Brainerd International Raceway, and the Circuit of The Americas.
Last year, Wyman finished as runner-up in the Mission King Of The Baggers Championship, and he was third overall in Stock 1000 and 12th in the Medallia Superbike final standings.
“I’m really looking forward to my sixth year racing a BMW,” Wyman said. “I am grateful for BMW’s renewed support of my racing team, and I can’t thank Alex Torres (Wyman’s chief mechanic and owner of Fast Line Motorcycle Performance) enough for his increased support for 2023. Alex has allowed me to base my team’s operations out of his Austin, Texas, shop, which, along with the condensed 10-race, five-round schedule, has made my return to Stock 1000 racing financially and logistically viable. I’m also thankful for the sponsors who have come back on board with me for 2023.”
Travis Wyman Racing’s marketing partners for the 2023 season include BMW, Harv’s Harley-Davidson, Fast Line Motorcycle Performance, Motul, Bilmola, Alpinestars, Alpha Racing, Frank Madden Painting, SBS, Zero Gravity, GB Racing, Stompgrip, ODI, Full Spectrum, Medage, IRV Seaver BMW, Vortex, Precision Hydration, Suter, Ohlins, Evol Technology, Capit, and Lieto Factory.
