MotoAmerica’s success translates into greater exposure for our partners, sponsors, riders and teams. Growth across the board in 2020 was highlighted by TV viewership increasing 2.4x and digital race views swelling 2.8x versus 2019. Total television program airings almost doubled from 62 to 116 in 2020. Sizable increases in attendance where fans were allowed, as well as rider participation was also seen in 2020.

Motul’s involvement in Europe with youth racing have shown their commitment to up-and-coming racers and their families. In order to qualify, racers must have Motul stickers on each side of their motorcycle’s lower cowling and their leathers must feature a Motul logo on the front. Rise Moto, US distributor and Ohvale Italy, have teamed up to support the new MotoAmerica Mini Cup Series. Based on their GP-0 platform, the Mini Cup Series will feature four Ohvale classes of racing: 110cc (four speed); 160cc; 190cc (racers aged up to 14 years); and 190 Adult (racers over the age of 15). The motorcycles will be based on spec rules centered around the Ohvale GP-0, a mini road racer that is now ready for the U.S. market after proving to be extremely popular in Europe. The AMA is the sole U.S. affiliate to the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, the worldwide motorcycle sanctioning body based in Geneva, Switzerland. The FIM comprises 97 national organizations (called Federations) from countries around the world. The FIM establishes and enforces racing rules and calendars for all types of international competition, ranging from motocross and road racing to trials and enduros. Beyond its racing role, the FIM is involved in monitoring motorcycling legislation and lobbying for rider’s rights. The FIM also deals with international touring activities, facilitates international travel, and is taking a more active role in vintage motorcycling. Several senior staff members of the AMA serve in administrative positions on various FIM commissions.
