Riding for Massimiliano Morlacchi’s Team MMR, MotoAmerica rider Rossi Moor took part in two 40-minute free practice sessions on Thursday at MotorLand Circuit in Aragón, Spain, where he once again demonstrated his great ability to quickly adapt to the new bike and the new track. After testing last week at Aragón, his crew made some setup changes that helped Moor set a fastest time of 1:52.77, which is just .12 of a second from the all-time JuniorGP Moto2 track record of 1:52.65 at Aragón that is currently held by Senna Agius.
Today (Friday, October 11), Moor is participating in two more 40-minute free practice sessions where he and the team will try to further lower the lap times.
Rossi Moor:
“I am very happy with the results achieved yesterday, and for this I have to thank my Chief Technician Alessandro Finelli and my mechanics Giorgio and Simone, who did a fantastic job on the bike. For today, the goal is to remain very focused on the work still to be done because, despite having done a good time, I believe that the performance of the bike can still be improved. But, above all, I am the one who can improve because, having ridden a few kilometers on the track with this bike, I am still not able to use it 100% well compared to my opponents who have been using it for several years.”
Massmiliano Morlacchi (Team MMR Owner):
“I am very satisfied with the work done by Rossi with his technicians in constant progression and with continuous improvements with lap times. I believe that Rossi, if he stays focused and continues his work in the right direction, could give us a big satisfaction.”
