Cory Ventura very nearly won the 2017 KTM RC Cup. The Californian crashed out of the final race of the season with a chance to take the title and ended up second, just 16 points behind Benjamin Smith. Ventura had a breakout season in 2017, winning four races and standing on the podium a total of nine times. Like most of the youngsters in the series, Ventura makes the move to the Liqui Moly Junior Cup for 2018.
