MotoAmerica has announced record viewership for its opening round of the 2020 MotoAmerica Series at Road America with the home of the AMA Superbike Championship reporting a total linear television audience of 357,000 Nielsen households (with a 466,000 P2+ rating) from its FOX Sports and NBC Sports Network shows from the May 30-June 9 airing period.

In addition to the linear TV numbers, racing action from Road America captured 56,000 views and 9,000 total hours watched on MotoAmerica Live+, the series’ live streaming and video-on-demand service, in just three days – Friday through Sunday.

Also, international household ratings reached 334,000 across just four countries. Over 30 re-airs are scheduled for the month of June in an additional 45 countries across Europe and Asia.

Additionally, MotoAmerica’s live coverage of the Stock 1000 and Twins Cup races on Facebook had another 333,000 views. The Stock 1000 and Twins Cup races were also featured on the MotoAmerica YouTube channel with those two races producing a combined 212,000 views.

MotoAmerica returns to Road America, June 26-28, with both Saturday’s and Sunday’s HONOS Superbike races broadcast live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1). Airing times are June 27 at 2 p.m. (Eastern) and June 28 at 2:30 p.m. (Eastern). This round will also include spectators, making MotoAmerica the first motorcycle series post-shutdown to allow fans to attend.
