New Jersey Awaits: What The Teams Say Heading To NJMP

Kyle Wyman has added new sponsors to the team for the round at NJMP this weekend.

The following is from KWR…

Kyle Wyman Racing (KWR) is proud to announce a new partnership with BlackBerry Cylance, who will join Lion Fuel as co-title sponsor for the ninth round of the MotoAmerica Superbike championship this coming weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Kyle Wyman will ride the #33 Lion Fuel/BlackBerry Cylance/KWR Ducati Panigale V4 R as he chases his first top-5 finish of the season.

BlackBerry Cylance is the leading cybersecurity company, focused on utilizing artificial intelligence to protect companies and individuals from online threats with revolutionary technology.

“The BlackBerry Cylance team is pleased to announce a new partnership with Kyle Wyman Racing for the New Jersey round of the 2019 MotoAmerica Superbike championship,” said Eric Cornelius, Chief Technology Officer at BlackBerry Cylance. “As the leading AI-driven cybersecurity company, we understand what it means to push the limits of technology when you are laying it all on the line — whether on the race track at speeds over 180mph or in securing networks against attackers at the speed of business. Having technology and a skilled team you can rely on is what matters most.”

The KWR Ducati team utilizes a sophisticated electronics system to collect large amounts of data and create files to operate the motorcycle at the highest levels, so a partnership with BlackBerry Cylance was a natural fit for a company that is focused on protecting data where every second counts.

“As a team competing in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship, we spend a lot of time developing electronics maps and collecting data.” said Kyle Wyman, Owner and Rider in the KWR Ducati Team. “The data and files we’ve created this season developing the new Panigale V4 R are some of our most valuable assets, so we trust BlackBerry Cylance to protect our data from potential threats that could jeopardize our success as a race team.”

The Lion Fuel/BlackBerry Cylance/KWR Ducati Team begins practice first thing Saturday morning, September 7th for a two-day event at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

JD Beach is aiming to bounce back after a rough few rounds.

The following is from Attack Performance Estenson Racing…

JD Beach heads to the penultimate MotoAmerica Superbike round of 2019 looking for another top result aboard the Attack Performance Estenson Racing Yamaha YZF-R1, September 7-8, in Millville, New Jersey.

After a rough few rounds, Beach is looking to bounce back at New Jersey Motorsports Park. He and the team made great progress in their Superbike setup before race two at the previous round in Pittsburgh, and look to carry that progress forward. The dirt track/road racer currently sits fourth in the standings in his debut MotoAmerica Superbike season. With a win already to his credit, Beach is hungry for more.

JD Beach – No. 95 MotoAmerica Superbike

“I’m looking forward to this weekend in Jersey. It’s going to be another two-day weekend, so Saturday is going to be really crazy. I think with what we found in race two at Pittsburgh, it should help us here at New Jersey. In the past, it’s a track that I’ve enjoyed a lot. It’s not a real hard track, at least on the 600. Hopefully we can put the Attack Performance Estenson Racing bike back on the podium this weekend and fight at the top.”

The MotoAmerica Superbike races at New Jersey Motorsports Park will be aired on FS2 Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8 at 7 p.m. ET. You can also stream all the action both days on MotoAmerica Live+ starting at 10:00 a.m. ET. To subscribe to the live streaming click here:

Mathew Scholtz is on the hunt for podium finishes this weekend in New Jersey.

The following is from Westby Racing…

Round nine of the 2019 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship is this Saturday at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) in Millville, New Jersey. Mathew Scholtz and the Westby Racing team will compete in the two-day Championship of New Jersey on NJMP’s 12-turn, 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway.

Last year at NJMP, Mathew qualified on the pole, and then finished second in Saturday’s Superbike race one. On Sunday, he unfortunately crashed out of Superbike race two. He’s hoping for a pair of podium-reaching results this weekend aboard the #11 Westby Racing Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbike.

Mathew, who was recently engaged to his long-time girlfriend Kiara Mattioda, is excited to race in front of the great fans at NJMP, and his mother Colleen and brother Dean will also be in attendance. “My brother Dean has never been to America to see me race, and he and my Mom will be at NJMP, so this is an extra-special race weekend for me,” commented Mathew. “The fans at New Jersey are really enthusiastic, so I’m hoping to put on a good show for them, my Mom and brother, and the Westby Racing team. It’s been a few races since we’ve been on the podium, so I’m extra-motivated to return to form and do well this weekend.”

Superbike race one will go green on Saturday at 3 PM Eastern Time, and Superbike race two is on Sunday also at 3 PM Eastern Time. Both races will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 2 (FS2) and streamed on MotoAmerica Live+.
