Sign up now for the inaugural Mission Mini Cup by Motul National Final, which will take place at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, August 9 through 11. The event will utilize two different tracks at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America and consist of four races over the weekend (two on Saturday and two on Sunday) for each of the six classes competing. Each race will pay points, and the rider with the highest points total in each class will be awarded the AMA National Champion number-one plate.
The Mission Mini Cup by Motul National Championship is the beginning of a journey for aspiring young motorcycle road racers. It is the first step in a process that could lead talented young racers to the MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship and possibly, for a select few, even culminate in the FIM Superbike World Championship and/or MotoGP World Championship.
The Mini Cup series was developed specifically to introduce young people beginning as young as five years old to the sport of motorcycle road racing. Mini Cup races are held on challenging kart tracks around the U.S., and the racers compete for podium positions, trophies, race wins, and season championships (including coveted AMA number-one plates).
Several former Mini Cup riders like Kayla Yaakov, Rossi Moor, Avery Dreher, Kensei Matsudaira, Jayden Fernandez, and Chris Clark have already moved up and are competing in both MotoAmerica’s and other countries’ national road racing championships. They credit a lot of their success to the skills they learned and developed in the Mission Mini Cup by Motul National Championship.
For 2024, the series will feature Regional Championships, and each race event in the individual regions will also serve as qualifiers for the Mission Mini Cup by Motul National Final, which will be held at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, on August 9 through 11.
As an alternative, riders can also compete in the National Final without qualifying via one of the Regional Championships, but they will be required to start with a points deficit in the National Final.
