Not content spending a relaxing weekend at home in Southern California with husband Josh Hayes, MotoAmerica Supersport racer Melissa Paris flew to Spain to compete with the Girls Racing Team in the annual 24 Hours of Catalunya endurance race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Paris, who earned a pair of 12th-place Supersport finishes last month at Miller Motorsports Park on her MPH M4 Suzuki GSX-R600, joined the three returning riders (Amandine Creusot, Muriel Simorre, and Jolanda van Westrenen) that finished second overall last year in the Superstock 600 class.

Aboard a Yamaha YZF-R6, the team qualified 23rd overall and first in class. The race starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Watch live streaming here. Learn more about the women’s training camps that led to the creation of the Girls Racing Team here.

Following round seven of the MotoAmerica series next weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Paris will fly to Japan to compete alongside Shelina Moreda in the Suzuka 4 Hours at the Suzuka Circuit. Last year, Moreda and Paris finished 28th out of 69 entries riding a Moriwaki-backed Honda CBR600RR.
