Cortech Performance Apparel & Gear has announced that M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Jake Lewis will wear its leathers and gloves in the 2018 MotoAmerica Motul Superbike Championship.
“I’m very happy to re-sign with Cortech for my return to the Superbike class,” said Lewis. “Cortech has been an integral part of my professional road racing career. Cortech’s custom made leather and gloves, their attention to detail and support have helped make me competitive.”
“We enjoy working closely with Jake, who’s been very instrumental in helping make Cortech the brand and product line it is today,” said Vice President Director of Products for Cortech parent Helmet House, Inc., Mark Gandy. “Cortech’s relationship with world-class professional road racing athletes has been key in terms of evolving Cortech product design, of obtaining real-world feedback and of applying technologies to high performance road racing suits. Jake is excellent at giving very precise feedback, which has enhanced Cortech’s product designs for all types of Cortech riders- pro and amateur road racers as well as performance street riders.”
Lewis will return to MotoAmerica’s Superbike class in 2018.
“I’m very pleased to return to the Superbike class with Team Hammer’s M4 ECSTAR Suzuki effort,” Lewis said. “I couldn’t ask for a better bike nor a better team to compete for. The new GSX-R1000 Superbike, I believe, will be the bike to beat.”
