Former MotoAmerica class champion and multi-time Superbike race winner Garrett Gerloff is anxious to get on track this weekend at the TT Circuit Assen in The Netherlands so he can continue developing his #31 Kawasaki WorldSBK Team Ninja ZX-10RR following the breakthrough he had two weeks ago in Portugal.

In Race 2 at the Portimão round, the Texan took a significant step forward with his Team Green Superbike and, this weekend at “The Cathedral of Speed,” he and his team will be doing all they can to score important race results.
Located in the northern part of The Netherlands, the famed TT Circuit Assen was specifically designed for motorcycle racing. Inaugurated in 1925, it has hosted the Dutch GP since 1949, and the Superbike World Championship started racing there in 1992. The 2.822-mile circuit features 18 turns, 12 of which are righthanders and 6 lefthanders.
“I can’t wait to race at Assen because I like the track,” Gerloff said. “I think this could be a better round for me on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR. I learned a lot last time out at Portimão, and I hope to be able to exploit that this weekend at Assen, and put in good performances for the team and for myself. I can’t wait to get started!”
Kawasaki WorldSBK team owner Manuel Puccetti commented, “Racing at Assen is always a pleasure. We’ve won races there and have many positive memories of the track. We’re confident when it comes to Gerloff because, in Race 2 at Portimão, he was able to get to the crux of the matter, and I saw him happier and more motivated than ever. Assen could represent a turning point for him this season.”
