Danny Eslick To Race Honda At VIR

Danny Eslick will race a Honda in the Superbike class at VIR this weekend.

Two-time Daytona 200 winner Danny Eslick will race a Honda CBR1000RR in the MotoAmerica Superbike Challenge this weekend, May 15-17, at VIRginia International Raceway in Danville, Virginia, the Turbo Turtle Racing team announced today.

“TTR is a new team for 2015 and look forward to having Danny Eslick for the VIR round on the ezVerify sponsored Honda CBR 1000RR,” said Kenneth Cordero, team manager of Turbo Turtle Racing. “We have a champion rider and a championship crew, including Tim Anderson, Eric Grey, and Bob Johnson. We are also working with a group of great sponsors: ezVerify, VerifyAmerica.Org, Turbo Turtle Racing, Dunlop Tires, Rick Case Honda, Pro Speed Racing Apparel, Magic Bullet Fuel Treatment, Dynojet, Vortex Racing, and Nitek Helmets. Eslick has three AMA road racing titles on his resume, the Oklahoman having taken the Daytona SportBike (now Supersport) title in 2009 and 2011. He also won the now defunct Harley-Davidson Championship in 2010. In 2013, Eslick raced a full Superbike season for the Michael Jordan Suzuki team, ending up fifth in the championship.

Eslick competed in the Daytona SportBike class last year, winning the Daytona 200 and finishing fourth in the championship. Eslick won this year’s Daytona 200 in March on at TOBC Racing Suzuki GSX-R600.
