Do you think we’re excited to be racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, after 10 years away from the iconic racetrack? For a strong statement about our enthusiasm, all you need to look at is the entry list for this weekend’s MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio event.

Nearly 150 riders–147, to be exact–will compete in six race classes on Mid-Ohio’s 2.4-mile, 15-turn natural road course, bringing the excitement of professional motorcycle road racing back to America’s heartland where motorcycles are king.

And, speaking of “king.” The Mission King Of The Baggers Championship will be on track this weekend as they bring out the full meaning of the “Thunder Valley” section of the circuit. Seeing and hearing those Harley-Davidson Road Glides and Indian Challengers at full chat will be a treat never before experienced at Mid-Ohio.

The points are close at the top of the Steel Commander Superbike Championship with the top-five riders all within striking distance of winning the 2024 title. Also, we welcome back fan favorite Richie Escalante, who will once again be aboard his #54 Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R1000R.

The Supersport class will be 39 riders strong at Mid-Ohio as MotoAmerica’s middleweight maulers thrust and parry on a race circuit that seems to be custom-made for bikes and riders that utilize corner speed as much as outright top speed to get to the checkered flag.

A gaggle of 26 riders will compete at Mid-Ohio in Junior Cup, MotoAmerica’s entry-level class, and the series’ youngest pilots are going to have a blast racing their lightweight machines around one of America’s most picturesque and challenging road courses. For most of them, it will be their first visit to Mid-Ohio, so they will find out first-hand what we already know: Mid-Ohio is an absolute gem of a racetrack.

Leave it to the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship to descend on Mid-Ohio with the largest contingent of riders aboard the most diverse field of motorcycles. Ten bike brands are represented in MotoAmerica’s no-fairing, high-handlebar race class, and an army of 43 entries will be racing bikes that are a lot like the ones you see riding around the streets and public roads. But these machines are race-prepped for one thing and one thing only: going fast and winning races.

While we’re on the subject of “race-prepped,” the 13 women of the Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. program have their Continental GT 650 motorcycles all ready for battle. They’ll be competing in the final two races of their Championship, and one rider among them will leave Mid-Ohio with the coveted AMA number-one plate.

So that’s a rundown of what you’ll see this weekend at the MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio event. Check out the entry lists below and marvel at the 147 men and women from all over the world who will be entertaining you this weekend:
