It’s hard to keep a secret in today’s world, what with the 24/7/365 news cycle, ubiquitous social media, and smartphones in virtually everyone’s hands, but ARCH Motorcycle did a pretty good job keeping their bespoke entry in the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship a closely guarded secret.
We met with them a few weeks ago to talk about PR matters leading up to Daytona, and the takeaway from the meeting was that Gard Hollinger, Keanu Reeves, and their group did not want to reveal anything about the bike, their rider, or their Daytona plans prior till the start of the event earlier this week.

Their garage at Daytona was shrouded in secrecy, and the ARCH 2S-R motorcycle was literally shrouded. So much so that, when I paused in front of their paddock setup, I felt like I was gazing upon the Ark of the Covenant, and I was going to end up like that bespectacled guy in the Indian Jones movie who melted into oblivion.
No matter. The bike eventually had to go out on the track if it was going to actually compete in Super Hooligan.
We don’t know a whole lot about the bike yet, other than that it was designed and built by ARCH Motorcycle in cooperation with Suter Racing, whose slipper clutches and swingarms are used by a whole host of teams in the MotoAmerica Championship.

The air-cooled V-twin engine was hand-built by Suter Racing, and the bike includes an oil cooler, but there is no radiator. It’s complete with top-shelf suspension components from Öhlins, and it also features Brembo brakes and an Akrapovič exhaust system. Corey Alexander is racing it, and as far as we know, only one ARCH 2S-R has been built.
We’ll take another run at the ARCH Motorcycle brain trust and see if we can pry any more details from them about the bike. Stay tuned because ARCH and their new bike will be competing in the entire Mission Super Hooligan National Championship with their first two races at Daytona on Friday and Saturday.
