According to a Rahal Ducati Moto email that was sent to the team’s sponsors and partners, the Ducati team of PJ Jacobsen, Kayla Yaakov, and Corey Alexander will not be competing in the Daytona 200 this year.

The team made the decision based on several factors, namely that the race isn’t a MotoAmerica championship points-paying event, and the fact that additional resources are required, including the extra personnel and quick-change equipment necessary to compete in the Daytona 200 with its mandatory pit stops.

Meanwhile, the team also identified its goals for the coming season: to win the team’s first-ever championship; have all three riders in championship contention; see each of the three riders reach the podium again; secure an all-Rahal Ducati Moto podium finish; and build on last year’s performance.

Rahal Ducati Moto had a dismal Daytona debut last year with Yaakov’s 11th-place finish the best result for the team, while Jacobsen ended up 13th and Alexander was 15th.
