What a season. 2024 Superbike Cup winner Ashton Yates (center) is flanked by Cup runner-up finisher Danilo Lewis (left) and third-place finisher Nolan Lamkin (right).

Ashton Yates is a man of very few words. And when he speaks, he sounds so much like his father Aaron, who by the way, also has a reputation for being a man of very few words. Heck, even Ashton’s grandfather (and Aaron’s father) Luckey doesn’t say a whole lot. All three Yates men—Luckey, Aaron, and Ashton—let their actions speak for them, especially on the racetrack.

Ashton was born into a motorcycle racing family. He’s been riding and racing ever since he could walk, and probably even before he started to talk. When he started racing in Superbike in 2020, he became the first MotoAmerica rider in series history to compete in five MotoAmerica classes: KTM RC Cup, Junior Cup, Supersport, Stock 1000, and Superbike.

In 2024, Ashton Yates’ talents aboard his Jones Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP resulted in one of his best MotoAmerica seasons yet. He finished first in Superbike Cup and third in the Stock 1000 Championship, and he also ended the year ranked 10th in Superbike on his Stock 1000-spec Honda, just one notch below his previous ninth-ranked Superbike season when he raced a full-on BMW S 1000 RR Superbike for Aftercare Scheibe Racing.

Yates is seemingly always on two wheels. When not road racing, he’s sliding and wheelying his Supermoto bike at select kart tracks on the East Coast, busting berms aboard his motocrosser at his home in Georgia, or turning left while in the saddle of his flat track bike. It’s fun, to be sure, but it’s also great training for him as he continues to hone his considerable talents and further advance his career.

Ashton Yates also has a knack for video and social media, and his clips always garner high engagement. To see for yourself, check out this 2024 Season Rewind:
