The following is from TopPro Motorsports…

While most of the U.S. slumbers through the colder months and off-season doldrums, things are happening in fast forward in Florida with the 2021 race season already under way and with MotoAmerica preparation in full swing for the TopPro Motorsports team and rookie rider Alex Arango.

While Arango enjoyed his debut ride in MotoAmerica at the Barber round in 2020, with the help of BMW’s Steve Weir, Alex is happy to report that development of his 2020 BMW S1000RR is in full swing and that he is effectively using a few club race events to continue improving the bike and increasing his familiarity with it. Evidence of the progress they are making at TopPro on his big Bimmer came during the second round of Florida’s dominant race series, when Alex not only won two races that day including the 1000 Superstock class, but he also turned the fastest lap of the weekend when he was the only rider to turn a lap in the 1:16s. To put that into context, it means Alex on his S1000RR, is just the sixth rider in the history of the FMRRA series to join the 1:16 club. By doing so he joins not only a couple successful club racers, but Ex and current MotoAmerica pros like Sean Dwyer, Max Angles and Stefano Mesa.

With the Stock 1000 2021 season set to start in April and through partnerships with TopPro Motorsports, Mark Tenn Motorsports, Farnese Terra, Steve Weir at BMW, Greg Hahn at Shoei Helmets, Alpha Racing, SBS Brakes, Leaf Life, Moto-D Racing and his family, you can expect to see Alex continue progressing as fast as that bike is real soon.
