As 2019 comes to a close, Altus Motorsports is starting to lock in the 2020 lineup. The team will be fielding two Team Hammer-built Supersport GSX-R600s and is looking to add a Junior Cup rider and a Stock 1000 rider.
Last year, Kevin Olmedo rode the Altus Motorsports Ninja 400 to second place in the MotoAmerica Junior Cup Championship. For 2020, Kevin will be moving to the Supersport class on a GSX-R600.
“Kevin is excited to make the move to a middleweight bike. He showed incredible skills on the ultra lightweight machine. I can’t wait to see how he adapts to the 600,” said team owner, George Nassaney.
After making significant progress on the 600 last season, Jaret Nassaney has decided to stay on the middleweight bike and continue where he left off.
“I think I have some unfinished business in Supersport. As last season progressed, I felt better and stronger, and it showed in my results. I am setting some aggressive goals for next year and with the support of our amazing team, I don’t see any reason we can’t hit them,” he said.
The team still has a couple of spots under the Altus Motorsports canopy for either Junior Cup or Stock 1000 riders.
“A lot of people don’t realize that the bike Olmedo rode in the Junior Cup last year was developed by Altus Factory. We developed the parts and sell them to customers. Kevin is a gifted rider but he also had a great bike to ride. We are looking for some talented young riders to continue consistently putting the Altus 400 on the podium,” said George Nassaney. “We are in talks, but nothing is locked in yet. And we’d love to support a rider on the Stock 1000 again in 2020. With some of the recent changes in the paddock, we expect to have even more support for our Suzuki’s next year.”

In addition to team spots, Altus has transportation and pit space available for a few independent racers as well. This includes transportation to all rounds and pit awning/space separate from the Altus race rig.
