SuperMoto racing will take place at VIR on the same weekend that MotoAmerica holds its third round, May 4-5.

What happens when you combine the speed and acceleration of road racing, the controlled slides of flat track racing, and the bar-to-bar aerial action of motocross? It’s called SuperMoto, and it’ll be part of the action at the MotoAmerica Championship of Virginia.

On Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5 at VIRginia International Raceway, SupermotoEastCoast (SMEC), the premier Supermoto Racing organization, will host round one of its season championship. On a specially built race course that combines the karting track at VIR with a dirt section adjacent to it, SMEC will feature SuperMoto races in the following classes:

  • SMEC1 Pro
  • SMEC1 250 Pro
  • SMEC2 Amateur
  • SMEC3 Novice/Beginner
  • SMEC Mini

Asphalt Only Classes:

  • Motard Cup
  • Mini Motard

Kids:

  • Youth Cup

The SMEC Championship series will race at VIR rain or shine.
