After a season of racing in the Superbike World Championship for the Red Bull Honda team, Californian Jake Gagne is returning to the MotoAmerica Series for 2019, joining the Scheibe Racing team where he will compete in MotoAmerica’s Superbike series aboard the #32 BMW S 1000 RR.
“I’m excited to be back in the MotoAmerica paddock,” Gagne said. “I missed all the fans and the racetracks, and I’m really happy to be racing in America again. I’m ready to get to work, keep having some fun, keep learning, and try to build on Scheibe Racing’s already excellent program.”
Steve Scheibe, owner of Scheibe Racing, said: “We’re thrilled to have Jake on our team. He’s a talented young rider, and I’m confident that, together, we will continue to move our program forward. We’ve been racing the BMW Superbike for a few years now, and we’re ready to take the bike to an even higher level.”
Scheibe has worked with a who’s-who of motorcycle racers over the years, including Miguel DuHamel, Chris Carr, Thomas Wilson, Doug Chandler, Pascal Picotte, Scott Russell, Steve Rapp, Sylvain Barrier, Jason Disalvo, and most recently, Danny Eslick.
