KTM RC Cup Championship runner-up Cory Ventura will race a Yamaha R3 prepared by Graves Yamaha in the 2018 Liqui Moly Junior Cup on Team MP13, which is owned and managed by MotoAmerica racer Melissa Paris.
Ventura, 16, was a standout in last year’s KTM RC Cup with four wins and nine podium finishes en route to second in the title chase. He also led the America team with his fifth-place finish in the KTM RC Cup World Final in Jerez, Spain.
Ventura, who has been in Southern California training with Paris and her husband Josh Hayes and other MotoAmerica racers, is ready to get rolling.
“I am super excited to ride for MP13 Racing in the 2018 MotoAmerica Junior Cup,” Ventura said in a release from the team. “We have started our development on the Graves Yamaha R3 at the Buttonwillow test. I am very happy with how things went working with Melissa, and I think we will make a great team this year.”
Paris added, “I got the opportunity to know Cory at the last few rounds last season, and I was really impressed with his attitude and work ethic. He’s already proven himself to be a strong competitor. With his talent and our Graves prepped Yamaha R3, I’m really excited to see how we can do in the inaugural season of the Junior Cup.”
Paris plans to share details of her own race plans in the coming weeks.
